2. A couple of points...

Wauwatosa is a strongly republican community. But it isn't the R's most dedicated center...that is Waukesha with respect to the percentage turn out and percentage registered republican. If the R's lose Waukesha they are truly in the toilet.

Wauwatosa, led by a Sarah Palin wannabe as mayor, is a very good indicator of how suburban (upwardly mobile middle class) values are in conflict with Walker's proposals.

Unfortunately, Wauwatosa doesn't have a state senator who is recall eligible. So we volunteer are showing up in Madison and volunteering on recall projects in other districts.

3. This is anecdotal, but yesterday was my mother's 82nd
birthday. She lives near the Dells. She and my dad live in an area that is very republican and anti-union. My dad, when he was still lucid, used to argue with those people all the time. He and my mother were Democratic election judges for 49 years.

My mother was happy to learn that my daughter is involved in the protests in Madison. And she says that people are turning against Walker in her area. They are calling him a liar. She is hearing this in her caretakers' support group, at church, in the library and in the grocery stores. I think most of her contacts are seniors, but they vote.

Let's hope this can translate into some action.

4. Should the recall be expanded to .all Senate Republicans except Schultz?
In light of the Senate's action today in splitting the anti-union measures out from the larger bill and voting on them separately, are there any plans to target additional Republican Senators (except Schultz, who voted against)? Or are the others too solidly supported in their districts?
