Talk about a person being politically forward . . . . .

(Disclaimer: This is intended to be a humorous, light story.)

Today I had occasion to be in our nation's capital. I was part of a group of people doing some building forensics and found ourselves on a windy rooftop with a semi-obstructed view of the White House and a clear view of the Old Executive Office Building next door (as well as the rest of the city's skyline, of course.) Our view was similar to this, but from a different position, diametrically opposite from the position of this picture, purloined from the Internet.



In the foreground is Treasury, the White House in the center, and the OEOB beyond.

The group included people who knew each other and some who had met for the first time perhaps an hour earlier. Someone not as familiar with the city asked what the beautiful Beaux Arts building was. I said it was the Old Executive Office Building. We all chit chatted about that. Our host observed there had recently been a fire there. I observed that it happened in Cheney's office.



The person who initially inquired as to the identity of the building was quick to quip: "Oh wow! Did Beelzebub open a door in the floor to check in with the boss?"




Fortunately for our continued professional involvement, our host, who is also our client, genuinely thought it was funny. A good chortle was had by all.
