Lieberman Mulls A Run As A Dem, Will Meet With DSCC Chair Murray
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/12/lieberman-on-running-as-democrat-ill-meet-with-patty-murray-next-year.php

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) says he will meet with freshly-minted DSCC chair Patty Murray, likely early next year, about his re-election options for 2012.

No discussions have taken place yet, but he said that some Senate Democrats are rooting for him.

"Some of my colleagues in the Democratic caucus have been very gracious and kind saying they hope I run as a Democrat," he told TPM in an interview Wednesday. "Patty and I said we'd talk sometime early in the New Year."

Don't expect any imminent announcements. Lieberman says for now he's just flattered that "people are raising the question."

13. the word from CT
1. we Democtrats defeated Joe the last time in the primary and only a wierd set of circumstances enabled the Indies and Repubs to get him re-elected.
2. Joe then proceeded to help his Republican buddy in Maine, Susan Collins, defeat here Democratic challenger.
3. He then helped defeat GOOD health care reform and pass DEFORM instead.
4. In the last Senatorial elections, the national Democratic machine worked AGAINST CT's liberal Democrats and got Joe elected, instead of the great liberal Democrat whom we had chosen to replace Joe.
5. In the recent elections, while Democrats in the rest of the country was being massacred, we Democrats in Connecticut showed that we can come up with great liberal candidates and GET THEM ELECTED in all of our statewide contests.
6. The WORST thing that Patty Murray and the national Democratic machine could do would be to meddle in our state's PRIMARY process. Let our state's Democrats decide on the best Democratic candidate and THEN come in with national resources to make sure that candidate beats the REPUBLICAN and/or INDEPENDENT. DON'T use the resources of Democrats around the country TO FIGHT CONNECTICUT DEMOCRATS IN THE PRIMARY PROCESS.

17. Nailed it, welcome to DU and thanks.
This poisonous fucker needs to go.

I've said, from the beginning, that people in CT would regret this decision and their votes... I've never seen voter remorse like this.

You're done AIPAC man.

6. I thought he was so old he's retire! I don't think he's has much of a chance to
win, wether he runs as a Dem or an Ind. Hell, he spend the entire 2008 campaign boosting AH McNut! Will the voters REALLY forget that?

8. Oh, so the Dems may have moved right enough to catch Lieberman?
That would, in his own eyes, make him some sort of advanced element of the enlightened wing of the pardee?

God the world has gone strange. It's like an outreach to the ghosts of the LaFolletes and their Progressive Party born of antiwar Republicans.

9. ""Some of my colleagues in the Democratic caucus..."

Really, Joe? Name some names, then. Otherwise that claim falls right in line with Fox News' infamous "Some people are saying..." in terms of credibility.

15. Here's what Joe stands for : (from a nutmegger)
I can't imagine how anyone could end up where Lieberman did on this graph,
unless he actually set out to be dead center, so as to be "all things to all people" and/or
to offend no one (which has worked for him to a great extent for quite some time now) :
