Commentary: Geology and tectonic plates be damned (no pun intended).

The Japanese quake/tsunami was sent by God himself as punishment. Atheists, will you take heed?
It's quite obvious that the quake/tsunami was punishment, brought down by God himself. His anger at atheistic Japan is apparent, even a moron can see that. Atheists, will you take this warning that God has sent? He sent this warning because he loves you. He loves all his creations and wants everyone on Earth to love him. You have been warned.

1. Fundies need to find a much bigger God. One with love and forgiveness.
WAIT! I think there's one in the Bible they profess to follow!

Ah! The stupid...it burns!

2. How do these yahoos explain
all the tornadoes in the bible belt the last two weeks? I have no doubt that Mother Nature is pissed but they're looking the wrong targets.

3. Damn I was close
I said it was because they have not accepted Jesus into their lives.

Hey IDIOTS, they are not atheist, they just don't believe in your own version of bronze age theology.

By the way how do you think the Padre will react if I take the two conures for baptism? (Would be worth the entertainment value... one of them is like bathing a cat)

4. Wrong. It is God's punishment for Japanese cartoons. They are
subliminally sucking the souls out of our children and filling the void with the spirit of the heathen deity Godzilla, turning them into Godless homosexual fire-breathing witches and it is God's will that they shall be burned at the stake for they are beyond salvation, and the people of god shall hold vigil at the funerals of those killed in battle for some unfathomable reason known only to God and the preacher that makes all the cash by spouting this stupidity to his gullible ignorant followers.
Loonytonnery 3:16

Not to take the awful tragedy in Japan lightly but the sarcastic pararaph that I have written above is probably only mild wackiness compared to what some of these so called christian loonies believe.

5. Fundie views like this are like watching a cat consume itself
This is where Fundamentalism becomes little more than "cause and effect" idolatry. (And a form of witchcraft, albeit with the use of the Fundamentalist Christian god as the guiding power entity being appealed to and standing in for a ravaging spirit. Ah, this is god being used as a hell god.)

It is idolatry, something strictly forbidden in nearly all forms of Christianity, to subscribe motive to God. This is a major sin that breaks the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Commandments, at least, and takes a major chunk out of the others as well. Christians are forbidden from constructing an image of God that is merely human motive write large. (Lots of reasons why, suffise to say briefly that this reduces God to a mean-spirited vengeance spirit.)

Those making these comments are elevating themselves to the level of God by speaking as God. This is blasphemy. It is also speaking without compassion, which is also strictly forbidden in Christianity, as it is in numerous other faiths.

So, these folks are, in a sense, consuming themselves bit by bit. (Oh, and this violates the myth of the end of the biblical Flood, when god promised not to destroy the world again. Geez, this is like watching a grand-slam of "things you can't do" in discussing divine motivations.)
