For almost 8 years, I felt that Keith Olbermann spoke for me...
and even though he is off the air, he continues to do so.

Listen, if we all ask, can we get CNN to put somebody on to anchor Japan coverage besides Wolf? Great guy, but, honestly, tough to watch

Keith Olbermann
I mean I'd settle for Kathleen Parker right now.

LMAO - trying to watch Wolf Blitzer anchor live coverage is like watching the Principal of my old Junior High school at a hastily arranged assembly.

1. I know we can be pretty critical here at DU
But I think we really have Leslie Blitzer nailed. The guy seems incredibly dense. Wouldn't you agree?

3. He is TERRIBLE - dumb, repeats himself, and then again for good measure.
I really, really miss Keith and his amazing ability to do live coverage of unfolding events - it is a very rare talent these days and he is probably the only Anchor with the ability to ask the right questions and find the right words at very confusing times - meanwhile his former network is running a special on Charlie Sheen.

Hopefully, once he gets his gig at CurrentTV started, he can turn it into a viable destination for actual NEWS.

2. I'm sorry but watching Wolf is like watching a
boil erupt. The same sense of dread and nausea. And almost as exciting as watching it drain. Dog I miss Keith.

5. Agreed
It's his incessant monotone blathering that really gags me. Been CNN free for years.

6. Me, I'll take Anderson Cooper
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 08:17 PM by Duer 157099
I know some don't like him, but I do. When is he getting to Japan anyway?

edit: I mean, over Wolfie. Not Olbermann.

7. I would guess he is on his way.
He was not on last night, so he is probably in route to Japan.

12. Agree with all of you about Wolf Blitzer.
He does not have any natural talent for speaking. I first noticed him when the Gulf War started, and decided they picked him because his name has a "belicose" sound to fit the war talk.

I still miss Aaron Brown. I really like Don Lemon, and Cooper is cute and intense. Most of the women anchors on CNN are too silly to watch very long.

15. I saw those tweets and I agree. Has anyone noticed how often he uses the words, "right now" when
talking about ANYTHING? And is monotone voice...yuck.

16. My biggest beef with Wolfie is that he never gets outside the
Beltway, mentally. He has never expressed ANYTHING about ANYTHING that isn't "conventional wisdom" on the cocktail party circuit.
