You Can't Keep A Cheesehead Down. This, Again, Is What Democracy Looks Like!
By Susie Madrak

An estimated 100,000 union supporters turned out yesterday in Madison, Wisconsin to welcome back the Democratic state senators who decamped to Illinois to prevent a vote on Gov. Scott Walker's union busting bill. The day's festivities included a parade of tractors around the state Capitol:

1. Republicans dont give a shit. The power to do it is a mandate in itself.
The only way to stop them is to kick them out and change the laws back.

4. A process now well underway in WI.
Polling shows two of the recalls with majority support. And the polls took place BEFORE the Fitzgerald brothers rammed the union-busting through the legislature.

5. That is what I was thinking
with all of the state energized, if they keep up the pressure, in the next election couldn't they vote out all the repubs and then change the law back, it will be bad in the short run it but maybe better in the long run. Just wondering.

6. We can run them out before the next election
Recall efforts are in full force for 8 Republican Senators. If we can successfully get 3 of those seats, we will have the Senate and Walker will be cock-blocked on every shitty bill. In addition, there's an April 5 election for State Supreme Court that is vital to our efforts. We need to tip the scales there because there are lawsuits underway that will go to the higher court.

3. Look at THAT! Now, they've gone and PISSED OFF GRANDMA!
Anyone who thinks that boomers and the elderly all support t-bag idiotology should pull out a magnifying glass and look at all these pictures of the crowds in Madison.

These people come from every age and aspect of life in Wisconsin. This event has knocked the scales from the eyes of millions and tempered the determination of many generations of citizens who will demand of politicians policies that serve the people.

8. Why this may work: 3 weeks of continous protesting. Not just 1 day, but 3 weeks!
THAT is what Egypt showed the world: never take the pressure off.

10. I kept telling you people that...
...you'd never see crowds of that magnitude unless and until Obama came to Madison.
That without highly visible, public, presidential support, the movement in Wisconsin was doomed to fizzle.

And now that he has finally got out there and put on his walking shoes, look at those crowds.

Oh, wait, what's that?....
