So will the US close down its military bases in Japan
and bring the troops home 66 years after WW2 or will ReTHUGS block the funds?

8. IF they have several cores go up
you may have a point, exposed material and all that... let's hope we don't get there

2. If the U.S. does bring the troops home, it will be interesting to see how
quickly this can be accomplished. We've certainly heard that we can't just pack up and leave Afghanistaan or Iraq, even with political considerations aside, because it's just not that easy. In light of a nuclear threat, I would place my bet on the side that the military can move fast! If so, then it's just a matter of wash, rinse and repeat in the ME. imho

4. We left pretty damn quickly when Mt Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines
in 1991. We just need some airlift and sealift assets repositioned to do it.

6. The robber baron bankers have sent private jets for their staff
but the men and women on the bases are being told to stay 80KM from the nuclear power stations.
Bring the troops home.
