You can't have it all....

My father used to tell me that. You can only have one half of the loaf or the other. I never liked his view very much. I bristled.

However, in a different sense/understanding, I am coming to believe he was right. That all of the things/amenities we ENJOY come at the cost of other things down the road.

Effects of radiation 10, 30,30 years on.

The effect of Walmart-ization upon our cities and towns.

etc., etc....hope that I am explaining this somewhat clearly.
