Carl Levin, John Kerry appearing on Meet the Press; Elizabeth Warren on Roland Martin's show
Edited on Sun Mar-20-11 12:35 AM by alp227
Tomorrow's Meet the Press on NBC will interview three US Senators: Democrats Carl Levin of Michigan and John Kerry of Massachusetts and the Republican Jeff Sessions of Alabama. Interesting to see a Sunday morning interview panel tilted towards Democrats as this kind of bias is rare; studies have shown that Sunday morning shows typically lean towards the GOP when it comes to booking politician guests. On the roundtable: NBC Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell, NBC Chief Pentagon Correspondent Jim Miklaszewski, the New York Times’ Helene Cooper, former CIA Director under GWB Gen. Michael Hayden , and Council on Foreign Relations president Richard Haass.

Generally the Sunday morning shows will feature reports from Libya as the US and other countries take military action against the Gaddafi regime. Admiral Mike Mullen will appear on ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN (State of the Union). Also, Energy Secy. Steven Chu will discuss the nuclear situation in Japan on ABC, CNN, and Fox News. Other guests include:
This Week (ABC): French ambassador to the United Nations Gérard Araud; former Libyan ambassador to the United States Ali Suleiman Aujali; the roundtable includes George Will, former Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA), George Will, Paul Wolfowitz, and Robin Wright of the U.S. Institute of Peace
Face the Nation (CBS): Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA); Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN)
Fox News Sunday (Fox News/Fox stations): Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Jack Reed (D-RI)
State of the Union (CNN): fmr CENTCOM commander Adm. William Fallon (Ret.); former Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Richard Myers (Ret.); Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Joe Lieberman (I-CT); other guests to be announced
Fareed Zakaria GPS (CNN): Sony CEO Howard Stringer; Pakistani journalist Ahmed Rashid (dubbed "Pakistan's best and bravest reporter" by Christopher Hitchens)
Newsmakers (C-SPAN): Nuclear Regulatory Commission chairman Gregory Jaczko
Washington Watch (hosted by Roland Martin of CNN) (TV One): Elizabeth Warren (Special Advisor for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau); Dr. Arjun Makhijani (president of the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research)
