Imagine if Juan Williams had whined this to Bill O'Lielly.....
"You know, Bill, I'm not a bigot, you know the books I've written, but I travel a lot down in the southern parts of the country and I have to tell you, when I'm driving down there and see a pick up truck behind me and a rebel flag waving from the radio antenna, no front license plate and a shotgun rack in the back window, I get worried. I start sweating and looking for big trees and start thinking of ropes and lynching and all kind of scary things."

Now, can someone explain to me, how his comments about Muslim's and their clothing attire is ANY different from this?

1. The difference is that your depiction would elicit rational fear!

2. Yeah, I'm a lot more afraid of Bubba than I am of a woman in a hijab
probably through close acquaintance with both types.

5. Williams was deservedly fired. He made insensitive remarks that are generally typical of bigotry.
He, of all people, should understand. Instead, he whines. And sometimes yells.
