It snowed like crazy here from on Christmas Eve and into Christmas day. It snowed and snowed and snowed...Anyway, in spite of that, the roads were in fairly good shape. Why? Because city, county, and state workers were out running snowplows to insure that the highways and byways were cleared and relatively safe to drive on. And lots of people were out and about, especially on Friday. My guess is that a majority of the plow operators would have rather been at home with their loved ones celebrating the holiday. But they weren't and my hat is off to them. The teabaggers and their ilk want to cut taxes and services. Well, next time it snows, they should not drive anywhere. Our tax dollars are paying these hard working men and women who are insuring that the streets are cleared of snow and doing it around the clock. Yes, they get paid fairly well for it, but they deserve it. So after the next snowstorm, I'd better not hear any teahadists whining about taxes being too high or wanting to cut city, county, and state workers pay.
