1. It's definitely not DU....
not anymore at least....I think Rachel Maddow is fair and uses common sense most of the time....no knee jerk reactions like you get here at DU.

9. I agree...
gotta watch out for sites like HP since they have an anti authority theme....I think no matter who is president they have an agenda to be anti that president....it's anti authority perpective and they don't always use facts....they have an agenda.

17. Baloney. DU always has the best compilation of breaking news.
It's hours, days and even weeks ahead of the corporate media.

Granted, it upsets me often, but that's probably because it comes closest to the truth.

10. Twitter with a range of search topics.
Pretty much following all the decent news agencies, reliable journalists who post links to their current stories and a few rogues who occasionally get it right. ;)

23. Progressive news? And blogs? Or news news, without the partisan filter?
Edited on Tue Mar-22-11 09:02 PM by Shagbark Hickory
I wouldn't say it's my favorite source but it seems to be the only fucking source is a Chinese government channel CCTV in english, France 24 in english, Al J in enlish , EuroNews (when we could get it) and various international newspapers. My dad turned me on to the foreign papers. He's right that's really a good way to find out what's going on.

Aside from that the Daily Show with Jon Beef Stew as mentioned.

go to people who clearly state their bias and stand by it.
