I do. And his mom and dad were killed, as well as his brothers and sisters by our bombs that were clearly not intended to destroy him...I wonder if he would approve of the bombing and missile attacks on Libya?

So sad, again. Maybe someone could post his picture down thread, it's worth a thousand words...

Edited to add the photo:

1. Libya isn't being attacked. A no-fly zone is being enforced
to keep Gaddafi from attacking Libyans.

3. Re: Libya isn't being attacked.
Yeah right. And all missiles and bombs ALWAYS hit their intended target.

Wake up and smell the corpses.

6. Wow, 120 missiles launched at pre-determined targets in Libya beg to differ
Many of the targets are said to have been anti-aircraft sites and airports so you are partly correct about enforcing a no-fly zone but how do you escape the fact that they are all in Libya and people were killed and there is no end in sight as to when military action will stop or why?

I'm sure you won't answer, just thought I'd post some real information.

10. It's surely an attack in a very practical sense.
Just because an attack is polished with the veneer of legitimacy does not make it any less of an attack, an offensive military operation.

5. I remember that little boy. That happened on the very first
Edited on Tue Mar-22-11 01:37 AM by sabrina 1
night. CNN was actually showing footage on the ground, rather than just the fireworks in the sky. That hospital was filled with dying and dead people and there were hundreds of people trying to get in. The doctors had to get guns to try to stop thieves from stealing the drugs, although they weren't very successful.

This little boy was there with the only surviving member of his family, his aunt. He was screaming in pain and calling for his mom. She was pregnant and killed in her apartment along with his father and siblings, he survived but was wounded in the stomach airc, as well as losing his arms and legs I believe. The doctors had no pain medication to give him. The scene in the hospital was chaotic and horrific, a war crime happening right on TV. Not the nice, sanitized version we were apparently supposed to see.

It was after midnight so probably not a lot of people saw it. Then, a few hours later, two reporters were shot at the Palestine Hotel, targeted as we now know. CNN went to cover that and we never saw anymore footage showing the actual results of the bombs. The fact that they had not made sure that hospitals were protected, leaving them to fend for themselves, was a war crime in itself.

Of course Ali was one of the people we went to 'liberate', we were on a humanitarian mission as well as looking for WMDs.

I heard later that Ali was flown out of Iraq to Kuwait or the UAE after he was seen on TV, to get medical care. So just seeing the footage probably helped save his life.

I remember how I felt that night, the anger and rage I felt at war criminals George Bush and his neocon friends, Dick Cheney, cold, cruel murderers, all of them, as well as incredible sadness at the suffering we saw in just that one hospital.

Ali must be grown up by now, but what kind of life does he have? He had a family and a nice home, blown to bits by Bush/Cheney. And he's just one of over one million victims of U.S. intervention.

Paul Wolfowitz was on TV tonight, literally salivating at the idea of another war in another oil rich country. He could barely control his excitement. He nearly slipped when asked about ground troops ~ 'well, we'll definitely have to do MORE than just maintain a no-fly zone, we'll have to em, well, get people in there, just to assess what is needed'!! 'We'?? Whose this 'we'? I thought we voted them OUT!

Peace-keeping forces is how they will present it when they send in ground troops. They are there, they are not going to leave. It all fits in with the PNAC plan. And the neocons are back in their bloody business.
