A new Democracy Corps survey in 50 of the most competitive battleground Congressional districts shows the new Republican majority in the House of Representatives very much at risk in 2012.

Key finding: "The GOP incumbents, identified by name, have an average approval rating of 35 percent across the 50 districts, with 25 percent disapproving. Another 38 percent were not able to give the candidates a rating, suggesting lack of visibility. This is about 10 points lower than the approval rating Democratic incumbents held in July of 2009 (with comparable disapproval rating)."

Also, 40% of voters in these districts say that they will vote to reelect their incumbent, while 45% say that they "can't vote to reelect" the incumbent.

A new survey by Democracy Corps in 50 of the most competitive battleground Congressional districts – nearly all of which gave a majority to Obama in the last presidential election – shows the new Republican majority very much in play in 2012. *

3. It's what I've been saying lately. The electorate........
is going to yo-yo back and forth until they find SOMEBODY that's going to be UNEQUIVOCALLY on their side, not only by word, but by ACTION also.

IF the Dems actually want to take advantage of this, they will come out UNEQUIVOCALLY on the side of the working class. By word AND, more importantly, DEED!

4. The GOP in 2010 took the house for the same reason
they did in 1946.
-A bad economy
-Right wing energized to retake power
-Democrats stayed home
-"swing voters" went to the GOP

Presidential election GOTV, an improving economy, and a screwball GOP candidate should be beneficial to "down ticket" Democrats.
