U.S. agencies say Libya attack may awaken al Qaeda
(Reuters) - Al Qaeda has not so far taken advantage of the upheavals in the Middle East but the militant Islamic group may do so if the U.S.-led campaign in Libya does not end quickly, U.S. intelligence agencies say.

Public comments on the regional uprisings by al Qaeda figures like deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahiri have had little resonance in the Islamic world, intelligence and national security officials told Reuters.

There is little evidence al Qaeda or sympathizers played a direct or indirect role in protests that erupted in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen and Libya, they said.

But before the U.N.-authorized mission began against Libya, U.S. intelligence agencies were advising President Barack Obama that another attack by U.S. forces on a Muslim country could spur militants to meddle in the protests and encourage new plots against the United States.

Four days since air attacks began on Muammar Gaddafi's forces, one intelligence official said there were few signs militants had been able to exploit anti-American sentiment for propaganda purposes, let alone foment protests or plots.

3. Have you noticed we rarely of Bin Laden anymore?
But the Al-Kada bogeyman is dusted off when necessary.
Remember that Ghaddfi even used it recently.

cheapass cowardly terror organiztions (IRA, al qaeda, eta, etc) are quickly becoming irrelevant and obsolete although our mainstream media outlets would have us all to think otherwise! RECALL ALL CORPORATE NETWORK 'news' outlets! More power to Free Speech TV, LINKTV, ITN, AlJazeera English, etc.! What our planet and all her communities require now more than ever is NEWS WITHOUT ALL THE F#@king commercials! This momentum for global change is undeniable and is sweeping the planet with an irresistible force!

Let's continue to help each other and hyper-focus on the energies of APPRECIATION &/or GRATITUDE, for ourselves, each other, all life, the planet; radiate this from your heart and affect everything/ everyone within & around you...step back and observe what transpires!
