Christian Right prophet Cindy Jacobs: Planned Parenthood has caused over a BILLION abortions
Earlier this year, Cindy Jacobs spoke at a conference in Arizona where she stated that "one of my friends in Congress" told her that because of Planned Parenthood in America, more than a billion abortions have taken place throughout the world and went on to recount a prophesy she delivered several years ago that one day abortion would be outlawed in the United States and that a memorial would be built on the National Mall remembering the "holocaust of the unborn."

We should be very interested to know just which member of Congress is friends with Cindy Jacobs.

1. every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate.

2. There are 6 billion people in the world...
...and if you assume that half of them are women, that would mean that 1 out of 3 women world wide had abortions. Personally, I've only known one woman that had one, and I've known many more that got pregnant and had their children. There are many countries where abortion is illegal, and several countries where the birthrate has sky-rocketed.

In short, she's full of it.

17. Wait, you forgot to consider
that all those "book-readin', librul" women in the US get abortions every month. I mean, it's all they ever think about.

"Hey Sally, let's go get a latte & abortion this morning!"
"Sure Wendy, sounds great!"

For the sarcasm-challenged:

3. They're so desperately mourning the "unborn"
but don't give a shit about the approximately 250,000 kids in foster care in the United States. After all, those kids can just pull themselves up by the bootstraps. :sarcasm:

4. Given that I don't believe abortion is murder...
... I don't see what the fuss is about. But I'm glad to know people are being proactive about not bringing children into the world who aren't wanted or can't be cared for, which truly is an awful thing.

8. Considering what a piss-poor job we're doing with the 7 billion already here
The true holocaust would be an additional billion people running around without adequate food, water, clothing and shelter. Until we can manage to share our resources a little more equitably, encouraging unchecked population growth is truly anti-life.

10. Middle class and Rich women will always be
able to get abortions. They went "on vacation" when I was young, or what my Aunt did, they paid a private OB/GYN (my Aunt's doctor who deliverd her children) to say they needed a therapeutic abortion for their life or health. Poor women were the ones who suffered back then. I know stories of those women also. I suppose those of us who lived through those times should shout out our stories loud and clear. Yes, we hear stories of coathangers but how many have we heard about trips to other states (or countries) where it WAS legal, or the money under the table to private doctors who were willing to risk their practices for principle and their patients.

These people must be very naive. Same mindset that making drinking illegal (Prohibition) would stop that too.

14. If she is catholic she is counting birth control as causing abortions.
If she is not she needs to balance that figure with all the abortions prevented because of the free birth control they have given the women who cannot afford it.

or since last week ? ..or what? In any case, outlawing abortion in the USA wouldn't outlaw abortions worldwide, Cindy.
