1. It would be much better if

those who wrote that modified version of the original Declaration of Independence hadn't tried to stick to 18th-century English. There are errors of grammar and word usage in there that would have convulsed the Founding Fathers.

It's also silly. Why not write a clear statement in modern English?

2. I don't think the intent...

was to throw out the baby with the bath water...just the current inept, arrogant, obdurate, and insensitive sobs curently running the country...
