Poll question: How long before US troops are on the ground in Libya?
Actually, some special forces guys are probably already there aiming at things to blow up, but not counting them, how long before a "limited" force is "supporting" the rebels?

1. A helicopter gun ship full of marines was there picking up those pilots the other day.

3. Nah, has to be an ongoing thing
Search and rescue, recon, that type of thing doesn't count.

6. not an Apache (gunship) and it flew in from the USS Kearsarge
Edited on Wed Mar-23-11 11:40 PM by kenny blankenship
AH64 Apaches are gunships that can take out tanks. What went in was an Osprey - too fast for any helicopter to keep up, so probably no Blackhawks or Sikorsky CH-53 escort.

You're welcome!

13. And from everything I've read about the development of the Osprey
those guys are lucky they made it in and back out...regardless of any Libyan gunfire. :scared:

11. If he has, I don't think the check is going to clear.
He's probably maxed out his American Express card at this point, too.

9. They certainly don't want that, we certainly don't want it,
the international community doesn't want it. Anyone who even imagines such a thing should be required to take a two-year course in the history of the Libyan War for Independence against Mussolini. They only asked for protection from the international community (and therefore only indirectly from the US) for protection and action on those issues which they clearly could not do for themselves, like asset seizures and an arms embargo.

So wait a minute, where in the world is such an idea coming from? What teevee show are you guys watching that's pumping that stuff out? Are the neocons pumping that shit out?

16. Bosnia started out as an 'Air War Only' - we ended up with 20,000 troops on the ground.
Rachel showed that Clinton escalation clip last night - as she called Libya a "Warzone"

Yes - she called Libya a War. It's official.

I hope we can stop the madness before it gets any worse and GET THE FUCK OUT NOW!
