Who knew that TX has an actual ethics commission?!1 However, *that* being a factoid, its crackdown on Governor GOODHAIR is predictably a whip on the wrist with a limp noodle: $1,500. This where his "emergency" priorities in his TeaBagger legislature included ramming through a voter ID requirement, when in the high millions turnout period between 2002 through 2005 the DOJ was able to file voter fraud case in a miniscule NINETY FIVE cases. Oh, an emergency because 2012 is coming up (GOODHAIR is not up for another reelection). The TX TeaBaggers also tried to pass something pursuing stringent enforcement against employers of "undocumented immigrants" (= not THEIR words of choice), but EXEMPTING employers of MAIDS and GARDENERS!1 Whups!1 They were letting their real feelings about Undocumenteds show; what the 'Baggers see as their best use in society, yip cleaning the terlits and getting those suntans in the yards.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Ethics Commission has fined Gov. Rick Perry $1,500 for not reporting rental income on a home in College Station and loans he took on the property.
The income and loans were supposed to be reported on his personal financial statements in 2009 and 2010. According to the commission, the total undisclosed income was between $7,000 and $29,995.
After the Texas Democratic Party complained about the reports in July 2010, Perry filed corrected statements. The new statements, Perry said the income and loans were "inadvertently" omitted.
The ethics panel ruling said the fine was "necessary to deter future violations."
