Are "Carbon Emissions" considered pollution?
If it is, why do use the stupid phrase in political debates? People understand pollution and are opposed to it. "Carbon emissions" is the equivalent of "fluffy bunnies" IMHO.

2. Carbon Dioxide Emissions somehow got
shortened to Carbon Emissions.

When it considered pollution is up to debate IMO?

3. Because Carbon Emissions also includes
Methane, carbon monoxide, and CFCs. CO2 is only a piece of the ways we're distorting the climate.

4. Which is true but still
does not change the fact that when something becomes pollution is debatable.

8. No, the definition of pollution is pretty cut and dry

9. I was not talking about the definition of pollution
It is pretty cut and dry. I was unsuccessfully alluding to things like the natural creation of C02 and methane that some would consider pollution and other may not.

10. It's a completely moot point
because you cannot reasonably impose regulation on the natural production of CO2.

11. I agree it would be unreasonable to try that
but it won't stop some from trying.

7. When you see heavy black smoke rising, you are seeing "carbon emissions"
It is most definitely pollution, as is the smoke off a cigarette. It is every bit as much pollution as someone throwing their garbage out their car window..

13. Salt can be considered a pollutant when in excess.
But, you know that.

5. No... I never regard my farts as "pollution." They're olfactory stimulation.

6. Are you at all aware of the notion of anthropogenic contributions to climate change?
Clearly not or you would not have initiated this thread.

You need to educate yourself. I will confess to being a bit surprised to see a thread like this at a progressive website.

15. My point for creating the thread was to provide a better frame since "Carbon emissions" and "Global
warming" seem to be failing.
