Hotsheet reached Trump lawyer and advisor Michael Cohen, who is on vacation in Italy, for a response. Cohen said it was obvious that Trump has released "something that his parents had given him years and years ago and he obviously just had it put away."

"I don't think anyone's going to question whether Donald Trump is or was not born in New York," Cohen said. He went on to say that there are hospitals named after the Trump family in New York, yet the only hospitals named after Mr. Obama are in Ghana.

"It's a little bit odd," he said.

Asked whether Trump needed to release his official birth certificate, Cohen pointed out that Trump is "not yet" the president. He said Trump could produce an official birth certificate if necessary.

Donald Trump learned the hard way this week that if you're going to call on the president to release his official birth certificate, you'd better do the same.

Trump, who has been putting pressure on Obama lately to make public his long-form birth certificate from Hawaii, decided to set a good example and release his own on Monday. Only problem was, the document that Trump provided to the conservative Website Newsmax wasn't his actual birth certificate, but rather a "hospital certificate of birth."

On Tuesday, Trump, who is contemplating a presidential run in 2012, sought to correct the oversight, providing a copy of his official birth certificate issued by the New York City Department of Health to ABC News.

the original, I tried to use a reverse copy like that for whatever, NOT ACCEPTABLE it needs to be a positive. Yes that was in NY too. Also does anyone really think that Donald will release all that good financial disclosure stuff as required by law, and be willing to put all his holdings in a blind trust and step away form managing it. Second, notice at the bottom, some one wrote "Jamaica" ... that's not part of the US.

Third, his mother was born in SCOTLAND!!! She's not a natural born citizen of the US. Which makes me wonder if the Donald was an anchor baby!!!

Does the form contain an embossed seal? I have the same type of birth certificate, but it has a raised, embossed seal. Hey, until I see that seal, I just can't be sure. Maybe the reference to Jamaica is the Caribbean island and not a part of the borough of Queens in NYC. Just sayin'. And did you see the names of the NYC "officials" on the form? Otto? Really? Otto? Right after WWII. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? And the Commissioner of Health - Israel? Really? Otto and Israel? Also, can he provide the names of everyone attendant at his birth?

I also notice that his mother was a Scot, born in 1913 and living in NY for 15 years. Hmmm. . . That means she came to the US when she was 18 years old. Under what circumstances? Was she an American citizen at the time of Trump's birth? If not, perhaps Trump was meant to be an anchor baby, with the intention of sponsoring hordes of Scots for immigration into the US when Trump turned 18. So, was there an influx of Scots immigrants around 1964? Enquiring minds want to know.
