What happens if there are court challenges in the Prosser, Kloppenburg election
and it ends up in the Wisconsin Supreme Court?

1. I believe it would go like this
A challenge would be filed in the Dane County (Madison) circuit court. If that is appealed it would go to the appellate court that covers Dane County. Then any further appeal would be heard by the Supreme Court, with Prosser recusing himself. Assuming the result is a 3-3 tie, that would leave the decision of the appellate court in place.

2. That makes sense.
I would hope that Prosser recuses himself.

3. Updated information
It appears from the statute covering recounts that the judge who hears the first appeal, at the circuit level, would be appointed by the Chief Justice in this case. Interestingly, one of the recount participants is known to have called the Chief Justice "a total bitch." Awkward.

4. lol
All of this illustrates why Supreme Court Justice should not be an elected position.
