1. cut taxes/war bust budget 2. "We can't afford it" 3. more cuts 4. economy dips 5. blame Obama

That is the US history of the last 10 years.

In the end, if they really shut down the government and the economy suffers from the revenues being drawn out of it, they will blame Obama. Fox News viewers are never given the whole equation. They think government employees are ethereal beings that just get their money and have no expenses (lunch, cars, homes, daycare, etc.). When the economy dips it will all be Obama's fault.

As Rachel Maddow reported last night, but failed to finish the equation for her viewers, there is no one face of the GOP to counter Obama. No man vs. man. The American people are presented with the faceless collective of the Tea Party, no one person to be accountable for the other side. This after a period of unprecedented presentation of THE MAN (Bush) and exultation of individuals (Wall Street/Banks/Capitalists) to justify their income.

That is how it will go down. The watchword of the next 2 years is "Trust" it will be in every conversation and become an inside joke to Fox News and talk radio listeners but no one else will be in on it...but it will be the one issue that everyone will be conviced that they must decide on in 2012.
