Kohler's lux toilet is $6,390

KOHLER, Wis. (AP) - Toilet aficionados need look no further: A Wisconsin company is promising "a figment of beauty and geometry" complete with piano music, feet warmers and a heated seat - if you're willing to flush out nearly $6,400.

Kohler Co. is preparing to release its new high-end Numi toilet, which was four years in the making and offers a slew of comfort amenities. The company describes its latest throne as "the ultimate flushing experience."

Fighting about who left the seat up? Not anymore. The Numi automatically closes and raises the adjustable-height toilet cover when it senses your presence. If you'd like, it can greet you with the sound of rushing water and soothing piano music.

Too dark in the bathroom? Also not a problem. A night light in the bidet guides you to the heated seat. And if your feet are cold, a floor-level vent blows warm air to keep your toes toasty.

Incidentally, it's unbelievable that the article doesn't include a picture of this understated item.

4. I like the light idea
Knowing I was getting old and having to go during the night time hours when I was remodeling this old house I put a receptacle above my stool where I have a night light that helps to direct me to where the action really is at and not at the floor where that other action is. you know the one where I get the shit slapped out of me if I miss. :-)

I really don't want to have to squat to pee just yet in life even if it is in the dark

Edited on Thu Apr-21-11 08:52 AM by nomb
And that's what this is... a marketing tool centered on a an expansion down line of seat bidet's like those with near universal market penetration in Japan.

Which are by the way, pretty awesome. :)

Now if I could only afford one....

One of my clients had a bidet, which helped soooo much...during the last months of his life
when he was still able to get about yet was incontinent.

Had one in a hotel room in Seoul and have been wanting one ever since.

You can probably cut your toilet paper consumption down considerably with one of those.

someone in the living room changing channels on the telly when they hear a scream from the bathroom, as the Kohler experience proves to
be much, much more than someone had thought...

47. More like thirty in his case
The $6500 shitter uses only 1.28 gallons per flush. If a 1.6-gallon flush won't carry away Rand's children, 1.28 certainly won't.

Rand Paul needs to weld a toilet seat to the top of an oil drum as it is the only kind of toilet that will handle his production.

it seems like if you have to resort to expensive ridiculous toilets you have run out of things to spend your money on. It's like "well I have EVERYTHING, what can I buy next?" Someone like that has just too damn much money, IMO!
