Rick Snyder receives a Buckeye welcome at the University of Michigan

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder wasn’t surprised his appearance as the University of Michigan’s commencement speaker drew hundreds of protesters.

After all, it was in Ann Arbor.

About two dozen students stood and turned their backs on Snyder while he spoke as a form of protest. When he was introduced, a chorus of boos rang out, mixing with applause inside the stadium.

It was a different scene outside, where a crowd grew throughout the morning to nearly 1,000. They spent an hour rallying at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School before marching across the street to Michigan Stadium, where they chanted and carried signs. The crowd was largely made up of union members, including UAW President Bob King, who made a surprise appearance. ............(more)

At least apparently. I wasn't inside the stadium but it compares favorably with coverage I've seen in the AA news.

but I'm proud of them too. Good for U of M.

...without the opposition being heard from also.
