Michele Bachmann compares taxes to the Holocaust
In talk of taxes, Bachmann cites Holocaust

By Sarah Palermo / Monitor staff
May 1, 2011

Amid sweeping campaign rhetoric denouncing government entitlement programs and taxes, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann compared "our economic liberty being pulled out from under us" to the Holocaust.

Careful to note there is no direct analogy between the two, Bachmann, a potential Republican candidate for president, said current generations will be held accountable if they don't take action now - the same way Americans were after World War II, for not stopping the systemic murder of 6 million Jews and other minorities.

Her remarks came during a speech at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, where she described learning about the horrors of the Holocaust in school and asking why her mother didn't do anything to stop it.

She said she was shocked to hear that many Americans weren't aware of what happened until after the war ended. But, she said, current Americans can do something to stop the government from "consuming the very sustenance of the generation not even born." ................(more)

1. This is low even for her
How does one even compare the murder of millions to a billionaire going "OH NOOO! I might have to cut back on using 100 dollar bills as cigars now, dang tax cuts."?

2. I thought she was a little too quiet lately.
I wonder if she could pass a psychiatric evaluation.

6. That's the point.
A REAL Doctor of Psychiatry would find all sorts of issues inside her pointy little head.

9. Gotcha
Believe it or not, I actually know the woman personally!

She is just the same in her everyday life as she seems on tv.

8. It wouldn't take long for her to add it to her resume
Dentist/Real Estate Agent/Lawyer why not a psychiatrist. She could get her accreditation through rand paul.
