Small world.

I'd forgotten about the little interior asides Roy Marsden (as Dalgliesh) has in this one. Could it be those that are making you think the sync is off? I rewound the first few times when I thought the audio had skipped ahead of the video b/c he was "talking to himself" instead of "out loud."

6. I tried a bunch of P. D. James that were all out of sync.

It's making me crazy! I don't remember which ones, but I can only watch a few minutes before turning them off.

I've switched over and am watching A Touch of Frost now. It's going to be very sad when I run out of good quality British mysteries.

11. I love this series.

There are more that haven't been released in the US yet. New DVDs coming out in December, I think, and then there are even more. Lots to look forward to.

8. PBS' Masterpiece Mystery series allows streaming of each episode for a month after broadcast.

Right now, there are three "Inspector Lewis" episodes up and their new series "Case History" (a PI in Scotland) just started: http://video.pbs.org/program/979359625/

I'll second the rec of 'Midsomer Murders'... and there are FOURTEEN seasons of it so far!
