A Murder of Crows

Excellent suspense starring Cuba Gooding Jr and Eric Stolz.

A high-flying defense atty (Gooding) recuses himself from a high-profile murder case defending a local lothario whom he knows is guilty. He packs it in a moves to Key West. He tries to get by running a charter fishing boat and telling himself that he'll write a book.

One day after hiring him to go fishing, an old man leaves a book manuscript with him.....

pretty good plot overall.

I found the cinematography really different, though. While the movie resolution was good, I found the frame rate to be weird. I suspect it may have been shot with some of the new hitech 4K or 5K camera's that are relatively inexpensive, but have low frame rates (<24fps)...it makes for a choppy type of movie that I found visually distracting from the story line. I'm wondering if anyone else noticed this and/or can explain the process used?
