Breaking - Washington Post: another year of Mueller investigations of trump

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-teams-meeting-with-muellers-office-poised-to-ratchet-up-tensions/2017/12/18/15dac668-e41d-11e7-a65d-1ac0fd7f097e_story.html?utm_term=.f8697bded67a

White House lawyers are expected to meet with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s office late this week seeking good news: that his sprawling investigation’s focus on President Trump will soon end and their client will be cleared.

But people familiar with the probe say that such assurances are unlikely and that the meeting could trigger a new, more contentious phase between the special counsel and a frustrated president, according to administration officials and advisers close to Trump.

People with knowledge of the investigation said it could last at least another year — pointing to ongoing cooperation from witnesses such as former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos and former national security adviser Michael Flynn, as well as a possible trial of two former Trump campaign officials. The special counsel’s office has continued to request new documents related to the campaign, and members of Mueller’s team have told others they expect to be working through much of 2018, at a minimum.

The dynamic threatens to intensify the already inflamed political atmosphere enveloping the investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election. Even as White House lawyers have pledged to cooperate with Mueller, Trump and his allies have accused the Justice Department and FBI of bias and overreach.

Plea agreements that move it even closer to trump, more obvious. And hopefully, some top congressional Rs will be named, indicted.

There are multiple sealed indictments already drawn up and ready to go. My guess is that jerrod kushner will be inducted before valentines day.

We can't last that long as a country with Trump in the White House.

So much for all of the chatter that any day now he's going down.

Mueller investigation is more complicated, and will last longer than the Starr investigation. My wild ass guess 4-5 years.

So, you are right, it is a disconnect and not reality.
It is never easy to take down a sitting president.
They tried like hell to take down Bill Clinton, and failed.

In my honest opinion, until the congress actually becomes democratic majority, removing Trump is a pipe dream.

Which is why 2018 election is so critical!

Do you recall what George Stephanopolous said?
"It is the economy stupid"!

The great economy is why Bill Clinton was so popular,

seriously believes he will be cleared by the end of the year it's all a facade for his supporters and the people who work for him. Let it be clear the reason Trumps lawyers tell him he will be cleared by the end of the year is because they are sycophants. Trump tells his lawyers to tell him what he wants to hear otherwise they would not remained employed by him.

Because if he said it, then it must be true. It’s part of the psychopathic narcissism.

And you’re dead right on the sycophancy. If people around Trump want to keep their cash cow, then they need to say whatever he wants to hear, reality or otherwise. Some of his attorneys have to be seriously flirting with malpractice.
