...only ONE SIXTH the number of people who were killed and injured by one asshat with a bumpstock rifle in Nevada two months ago. And I'll bet we're going to spend six months blathering about train safety, infrastructure repair, and transportation regulations. Meanwhile, NOTHING has been done about gun safety. They're not even bothering to PRETEND they're thinking about banning BUMP-STOCKS that convert semi-automatic rifles into fully automatic machine guns anymore. Three weeks, and it's forgotten. Most of the wounded haven't even started physiotherapy yet, and the incident is forgotten.
