It's still a puzzle to me?

Why so many in the Trump White House felt they had to lie about their meetings with the Russians?

Were they directed to lie by Donald Trump? Was that part of their job description?

Were they involved with the Russians before they signed on with the White House?

There were so many meetings with Russian officials and those involved lied about them every single time. Not once did they admit that they met with a Russian or explain what was discussed?

How could so many people be used or hoodwinked in such a way? How could so many people be so criminally inclined as to betray their country and work with the Russians?

They sound like some sort of cult.

Could it be so bad that Mueller may decide that the country cannot withstand the truth?

That is the only way that this country has any chance. While there will always be a group of kool-aid drinkers the overwhelming masses aren't totally lost ---- yet. The truth will be what might unify the people to stand up against the Russian tools and those who want to destroy this country.

These people believe, sincerely, that "their country" exists solely for their benefit and that they are therefore unable to "betray" it. It's nobody's business with whom they have met or will meet. How dare the peasantry question them? In this mindset, there is no "lying" if doing so is of benefit to the privileged.

It shouldn't be a puzzle to you, kentuck. They have made no secret of their contempt for truth and the rule of law. What we need is a modern-day Cato the Elder, declaring at every possible occasion, "Carthago delenda est!" except in this case: "Trump and his criminal cabal must be destroyed!"*

And the sooner the better.

*(Naturally, by "destroyed," I mean indicted, arrested, tried, convicted, and imprisoned, not hacked to pieces with dull machetes in the public square. I would never, ever approve of such methods.)
