I doubt the numbers will change much during the next couple of weeks. Consider that even political junkies will be involved in Christmas and New Years parties with friends, relatives, companies, and many organizations they belong to. Not to mention, there will be the end of the year summaries that the media does - some of which will cover guilty pleas and indictments.

I DO think his number might rise when the new withholding takes place --and I suspect that many will find in April 2019 that they owe money. All of changes - losing personal deductions, but doubling the standard deduction and changing what can be itemized will not be reflected properly in this transition year. I do not put it past this administartion to "give up" some revenue from withholding this year to help their electoral chances in 2018. I really do not think they will take a conservative approach and withhold as if people will get just the standard deduction until they have some experience with the new plan (if it passes).

However, his numbers will tank again if:

Mueller makes more indictments

There is a foreign policy crisis where it becomes clear that European leaders (or worse Russia and China) are seen as leading. (With Trump's credibility internationally, he can't lead because no one will follow! (Even as he demands credit for his ISIS coalition that Obama and his administration put together and led.

If more disasters and infastructure problems surface -- and we create inflation because it is the easiest way to pay for things there will be no money to pay for because it was given to corporations and very rich people. Remember the Treasury can print money and there are no limits on the deficit/debt that can not be waived.

Any problems with the cast of characters who are his family and his team .. and, of course, himself.

He pushes entitlement reform

Kelsey Grammer has usually endorsed Republicans but is a superb comic actor.
Tom Brady is a personal friend of Trump's but is one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.
Ted Nugent is -- uh, well, OK, being pro-GOP is no indication of merit in one's field.

Still, the general principle is sound. People are complicated. My political creed doesn't require me to believe that everyone who disagrees with me is totally without virtues.

If it 50% out of 200%, then he's right

You'll say, "if it's "per cent, then by definition, there can't be more than 100%!"

In real math, that's true, obviously. But in Republimath...............

After all, if they think their tax bill adds up to anything other than disaster,
then no wonder they can add up 59+35+26 and get 100 as an answer.

He's never been a progressive or liberal, but all of a sudden back in 2016 he became a Trumpbot.
