Rex Tillerson had to be taught the basics of global diplomacy months into the job, another example of Trump packing the government with the worst and most unqualified people he could find.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson infamously called Donald Trump a moron, but he may have been throwing stones in a glass house.
Tillerson had to have the concept of allies and adversaries the sort of concept American children learn in grade school explained to him in his third month on the job as Americas senior diplomat.
The revelation is the latest bit of evidence in a constantly growing docket of information that shows just what a mess the Trump administration has made of the U.S. government in just one year.
Politico reports that senior Tillerson adviser Brian Hook wrote him a memo on May 17 after he said human rights should not be an obstacle to America pursuing its interests. As Politico notes, The May 17 memo reads like a crash course for a businessman-turned-diplomat.
The document says, Allies should be treated differently and better than adversaries. Otherwise, we end up with more adversaries, and fewer allies. - Share Blue Media

(1,009 posts)1. I really still think
that Tillerson is a Putin plant, and he's feigning ignorance on a lot of things purposely.
Who else could get away with calling Dotard a moron and not get fired?

(18 posts)2. Tillerson said what he meant.
"Politico reports that senior Tillerson adviser Brian Hook wrote him a memo on May 17 after he said human rights should not be an obstacle to America pursuing its interests."
And, hasn't that been the de facto policy of the US for ... ever?

today's republicans couldn't care less about human rights, and the trump cohort cares even less than that.

Doesn't that seem just impossible to you?
