I Read Here On DU That One Of Trump's Russia Objectives Is To Help Get The Price Of Oil Up.....

so Russia makes more money when they sell their oil.

Rising oil prices will jack the cost of gas up at the pump here in the U.S.

This tax scam by the Repugs - which says that there will be less tax for the middle class to pay and more money in their paychecks - if that is true in the first place - will mean that any advantage that the middle class may derive from this tax scam - will be gone immediately in the cost of higher gas prices at the pump.

The Repugs giveth and the Repugs take it away.

The person who said it probably assumes that Russia's primary foreign policy objective in the short/mid term is the price of oil (which is probably true). Add to that an assumption that Trump is in their pocket and you would assume the premise of the OP.

The problem is that he hasn't been acting like that's the case. An administration looking to boost oil prices wouldn't be opening up ANWR or encouraging fracking and coal jobs.

Right now, only concerted action by OPEC is keeping oil as high as it is. There doesn't appear to be much room for it to climb.

I'm not a big fan of Condi Rice but I saw her speak at a conference and she had what I think is the greatest description of Russia today.

She said "Russia is, in effect, a mob with a gas station. Once you internalize that, everything they do everywhere in the world will make sense".

Off topic: The other great quote from that talk was about the difference between Russia and the US. "Both countries have Presidents but only the US has a Presidency - the peaceful transition of government that provides confidence to the rest of the world".

I wonder how much presidency we're going to have after DJT.

rapping the Average US Citizen. The story about a group of Billionaires offered Trump 800 million to go away last year . He wanted a billion plus so he could be solvent . After last nights discovery of a 600 billion dollar error in the Rethug Tax Rape Bill,Trump stands to walk away with Billions with the Corker Kickback scheme added to the Bill by Orin Hatch last Saturday.

I also remember Hatch also making a comment directed at Sen. Ted Kennedy "If you believe that, I've got a bridge in Chappaquidick I'd like to sell you".

deal is to continue to supply gas, oil, etc. at a time when we should be moving away from all fossil fuels as quickly as we can.

Obviously, we need to move away from fossil fuels if we want to save life on our planet. The gas, oil, coal and fossil fuels gang doesn't want this because they want products they can sell for a continuous revenue. They want to take as much money and value from consumers as they can.

Solar panels apparently last a long time.
