How Long Before We Have Religion Courses In Public Schools.

RW Christian activists are defying the law and teaching religion in public schools in more rural areas from the way it looks. So if you are in an out of the way area where Christian politicians dominate I bet religion in public school is all over the place.

Hindus are wrong and are all going to hell.

Christians are right and will go to heaven.

Unless they tolerate Hindus, then those Christians will also go to hell.

End of lesson on comparative religion.

Read chapter two for tomorrow: Christians and Buddhists.

They have a program called "After School Satan" that is introduced in some schools that also have the "Good News" clubs that proselytize children with hell, sin and fire and brimstone evangelicalism.

As a religion, they have legal standing to sue when their programs are not allowed.

Look them up.

I believe they have a case in Missouri where a member was forced to submit to waiting period and ultrasound before having an abortion. TST contends these restrictions violated her religious beliefs.

TST has 7 basic tenets and they put forth in the suit which ones were violated.

Again look them up.

BTW: I was called annabanana as a child.

including one on The Supreme Court and Religion.

Good course... I remember reading all of the opinions (both majority and dissent) even now.

I would have made a good legal scholar, except I hate lawyers.

.......it brings to mind one of my favorite lines from Frasier.

Frasier: I hate lawyers.
Niles: I do, too, but they make wonderful patients. They have great insurance and they never get any better.

I took it for a credit, and I ended up enjoying it. The teacher was a true believer, but not a proselytizer. I would have no problem with religion classes. Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and etc. I am not a religious person, but I am open to spirituality.

It will happen the same day DU fails to have at least one woe-is-all, post-apocalyptic prophecy post claiming we're all gonna die in the next (you never give a time-line, so we'll have to leave it at that).
