As a North Carolinian I am both happy for my neighbor and jealous. We have a very uphill battle here in terms of the legislature in that both houses currently have veto proof majorities for the GOP despite them getting only in the neighborhood of half the two party vote for the legislature. On the plus side both of our houses are up this time. I would love to see us get both houses but that is likely out of reach. But I would have thought, and I bet many others thought, that VA house was out of reach as well. I can't wait for 2018.
