republicans so easily forget that they left the economy in shambles in 2008...

on the brink of a depression.

i predict they will achieve the same level of success with this 'tax bill'.

The Great Recession of 2008: Explanation with Dates

The first signs of the Great Recession started in 2006 when housing prices began falling. By August 2007, the Federal Reserve responded to the subprime mortgage crisis by adding $24 billion in liquidity to the banking system. By September 2008, Congress approved a $700 billion bank bailout, now known as TARP. By March 2009, Obama proposed the $787 billion economic stimulus package. Learn how economic stimulus ended a global depression. To find out the causes and earlier events, see Financial Crisis 2007 and Financial Crisis Timeline.

But alas, the last time the GOPers controlled all three branches, the great depression happened.

Calling all Dems to aisle USA for clean up . . .

They blame Obama because he "was President in 2008". Consider how many on the right who follow Trump's lead and credit Trump with "turning around the economy", ignoring the recovery from mid 2009 until 2016.

So much so that they re-elected them to Congress in droves in 2010 and 2014 to help ensure that President Obama wouldn't be able to do anything too much progressive and then capped it all off in 2016 by electing a doofus and possible foreign agent to the Presidency along with a Republican Congress.

I just can't even.

And people wonder why we can't have nice things.
