Idiot fuckheads in my town are praising Trump for the tax bill

17% of my town is below the poverty level, and the town's median household income is $25K.

So these idiot fuckheads, who still refer to "Barry HUSSEIN Obummer" and still chant "Killary for Prison" are having a braindead orgasm over Trump's victory.

I didn't know that it was possible for people to be so fucking stupid. They are lining up to cut off their own heads for the sake of the oligarchs, and anyone who doesn't queue up is a triggered snowflake.

Fuck every idiot racist fuckhead who voted for Trump. Fuck them forever, each and every one of them.

Might as well monetize this, though. See if there's any takers on this "tax cut." Save your last pay stub from 2017, then compare it to the first one of 2018. Bet the difference. So when the knuckleheads see that they're paying higher taxes, you get to double their pain, and help yourself to a tidy little profit.

I had a poker buddy say that losing a pot was the best teacher: "Oh, that's why you don't plunge heavily trying to fill an inside straight."

The 2018 election can't be about this tax reform, it needs to be about social security and medicare.

Of course their abject stupidity prevents them from realizing that their "winning" is actually "losing", but they won't realize this until it's far too late for anything to be done about it.

They're also reveling that the "libtards" are apoplectic about this traitorous gang of thieves in the White House, and that makes them extremely happy! Again, their abject stupidity prevents them from seeing that every "libtard" is more concerned about their well being than any Republican, but.........oh well, stupid is as stupid does. Fuck them.

the people who were for "tolerant understanding" have hardened up quite a bit since Trump first took office. In the first few days A.D. (after Dumbass) many were preaching that these people were just misunderstood and lied to, and that they'd soon see that Trump was a liar, and we could make inroads into helping them see the error of their ways. Democrats now know that these people are hopeless mental-deficients, and no amount of rational discourse is going to convert them. I've seen far less "tolerant understanding" lately. One of the biggest differences between Democrats and Republicans is Democrats have the capacity to learn!

Which I'll admit isn't a great tool, indicates that even those who make $20-40k will save money under the new tax bill. http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/13/politics/calculate-americans-taxes-senate-reform-bill/index.html. This is a crappy bill, but we need to be able to explain why it is.

All they know is what Faux News tells them. Any report that they will be screwed are dismissed as fake news.

When their tax bill goes up - or when they loose their Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid - or when their kids loose their CHIP policy - or when the nursing home closes and they're told to come collect Granny - maybe then they will wonder if maybe, just maybe, they have been lied to.

Never mind that the billionaires ushered in the second great depression, and that they're going to take our homes and everything we own and hold dear. All they know is that they pissed off liberals, and that's good enough for them. Because that's what AM hate radio and Fox News told them to think. Fuck these motherfuckers.

To them that's nirvana and you're not going to convince them otherwise.

That's what I worry about in the 2018 elections.
Dems assume they can use the tax law to batter Republicans.
But all people will know is that they personally are getting a little more back from the government.

The huge hammer requires explanation and an ability to see the future.
Not a strong point with a large proportion of American voters.

It will be hard to sell this as what it really is.

They are foolish. They actually think that these tax cuts are only going to hurt liberals. I bet even when it does hurt them they will still cheer him on one check away from being homeless or hungry. Willful ignorance is a disease.

Hard to fathom the level of abject stupidity, but idiots like that are still quite plentiful. They want to believe their hateful diatribes, and the propoganda feeds their moronic delusions.

Unfortunately for the rest of us we get to suffer along with those dumb shits. Too bad they will never learn. They just don't want to know, rather they'd blame 'libtards' for their suffering even when it's obviously not the case.

There's no helping the majority of fuckwits like this. I guess the best case scenario is to hope most of them don't vote (most Americans don't anyway)

So just engage in an anti-voting propaganda campaign for trumple tards? "Don't vote, the libruls want you to, so just stay home" Maybe? I dunno, I agree they are a waste of time, as they've no interest in learning or "debate" (lol)

92. 25k Income?
Thu Dec 21, 2017, 04:34 AM
Dec 2017

If that is a single working mother, it may be hard to convince
her that a sudden increase in take home is a bad thing.

I wouldn't call her stupid, just a mom with a couple of more bucks for groceries.

I do know a family of 4 who are living on 1 income. They earn about $60k per year
and take home between $35k-$40k. The difference between earnings and
take home are both the cost of health care insurance and taxes. I know they get back
almost a $5k refund because deductions reduce their taxable income well
below the withholding.

When times are tough , they do not qualify for assistance. When he got sick
and could not work, they went almost a year with no income. They were
denied assistance because their earnings from Jan-Mar put them above the
income guidelines. When he was out of work long enough to fall into the
guidelines, his short term disability had kicked in they were denied for still
earning too much. The short term disability was only a 3rd of what they took
home. Living on short term disability, they still had to maintain premiums
on their health care coverage. Their cost of living actually went up because
of the additional cost associated with being ill and recovering from treatment.

Now this looks like the best case for tax payer funded health care or at least
a continuation for the ACA, But that would be a misunderstanding of how the
ACA works or how single payer would work. Neither, would provide for the loss
of income and living standards of those who depend upon the income earner
during a time when income is $0.

I think there is a better way. At times I think I see an opportunity. But honestly
It would take more than a one man think tank to make the best of ideas work.

RE: $25K income earners, If $60k barely sustains a family of 4, I'm not
confident that a family of 2 can rely on $25k. I could get by on $10k a
year if I could keep the whole $10k. But that would be living in a near state
of willful homelessness.

I wouldn't call any of the people stuck in these standards of living, stupid.
I would consider them some what desperate. Seems like a non-partisan issue
since no party is reaching them.

Sorry for the long reply.....

Their idiocy is an ugly reflection of Trump's ugly idiocy, in that I keep thinking that he can't get any dumber, and yet each day he surprises me with a new low.

I suspect that they love him in part because, even though he's an idiot, they think he's smart, so that lets them think that they're smart, too.

There are no personal exemptions, right?

Each personal exemption claimed is worth a little over $4000. If they have kids, they get a $1000 tax deduction/child. So that's $5000 off the top of total household income per child.

Under the new bill, the personal exemptions go away, but the child deduction goes to $2000/child.

Doing subtraction, that's $5000/child today vs $2000/child starting in 2018. For each child, then, a family gets to pay taxes on $3000 more of their total household income. What a deal!

Yesterday at dusk, I was driving my car and saw an apparent homeless guy riding a bicycle that had Trump stickers all over it. Truly was a sad thing to see, a person that clearly needs a social safety net deeply supporting a person that deny such a thing to him.
