Boy, I am so angry at myself for donating to Stein's recount effort. It wasn't for her...I thought my donations for the recount could help Hillary -- I was really hurting after November 2016. Well, as my grandma used to say, "live and learn". Stein will never, ever get another penny from me.

(5,969 posts)They dragged her all the way to Russia to that dinner as well. Just terrible.
But I love that there is now this new boogeyman called Clinton Democrats.

(22,976 posts)Think for a second: youd have to be pretty fucked up to say to yourself, I could live with that. I could live with selling out the poor, and people with serious medical needs, various people likely dying, subject them to live under totalitarian rule, etc.
How did these Stein/Trump enablers get to where they are, head-wise? So uncaring. So goddamn brutal. Just for money? The end of this ugly path is being so pathologically indifferent that you turn a blind eye, and shut off your basic human morality, like guards at a concentration camp.
I cant even relate to the idea of the type of mind that does this shit.

(11,950 posts)Even after all of what you said was known, there were still many people(including some on this site) who couldn't wait to donate money to that POS for her fake "recount" so she could continue to attack Dems.

(19,864 posts)for me on the chance that the recounts could show Hillary had won. From things that occurred during the recount process, I was able to deduce it was going no where. But, I had to take the chance if it meant something could be revealed to help my girl Hill. Beat me up for it if you like.

(58,724 posts)Speaking on CNN's "OutFront with Erin Burnett," Stein said that no translators were present for the dinner, which was hosted by Russian broadcaster RT, and added that she spoke only with a German diplomat at the table.
"There was no translator at the table," Stein said. "Vladimir Putin came in very late, with three, four people that I thought were his bodyguards, turns out they were core people in his administration, but you never would have known that."
"There were no introductions, no conversations," she added. "Russians spoke Russian, I spoke to the only person in earshot who spoke English, who was a German diplomat that was sitting to my right. So it was really quite a non-event."

Caliman73
(11,742 posts)She just got the lucky straw to sit at the table with the President of Russia, along with Flynn. It was all just a happy coincidence that the man who eventually became the NSA director and part of Trump's team, and Jill Stein, spoiler candidate, were there.
Totally believable.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)She is very obviously full of crap.
Caliman73
(11,742 posts)I mean there are a great number or people (Trump voters / Stein voters) who are actually that stupid, but seriously, you sit at the same table with Vladimir Putin and you have no contact with him whatsoever?
Me.
(35,454 posts)About Putin not speaking English?
Caliman73
(11,742 posts)Putin's English is reported to not be great, but he certainly understands enough to get by. Stein's contention that she sat at the same table as the President of Russia and said nothing to him is ridiculous.
Me.
(35,454 posts)Caliman73
(11,742 posts)Why are you so insistent on discussing Putin's English? The point is that Stein is an idiot and likely a liar regarding contact with Putin. The truth is I don't care how good or bad Putin's English is. He need not be fluent to recruit a willing idiot to subvert our political process. He was a KGB agent and a case officer. Stein, Flynn, and others (I would bet that this included Trump personally) associated with him because of the potential for economic gain in the lawless Russia of the late 90's - early 2000's.
This isn't about his English, it is about people lying about their connection to him.
Me.
(35,454 posts)The implication has been all along that he couldn't speak English very well so neither Stein, nor Trump for that matter, could talk with him one on one, but Putin is perfectly capable of table talk w/Stein and whispering, in English, into trump's ear without others knowing what he is saying. That English is a point of contact for starters. And neither I or many members of DU need to be educated about who Putin is and his contact with certain Americans...though the full of it has not yet been made public.
