Stunning UFO over Tucson

?resize=1200%2C90

Almost caused traffic accidents as a bright light changing shapes raced across the sky in Tucson. When I got home found out it was:

It was the contrail of a rocket launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc, California, this evening, Friday, Dec. 22, 2017. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg, with its contrail seen over a wide area, including Southern Arizona.

"What was that in the skies above L.A. Friday night that stopped traffic and sparked both alarm and curiosity?

"It was the contrail from the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket that was scheduled to liftoff from Vandenberg Air Force Base this evening, according to the website Spacearchive.info.

"Officials had warned the launch could be seen across Southern California and beyond. But on the day before the holiday weekend, the streaks of light against the blue sky were something to behold.

Mad scientist Elon Musk frightening the townfolk again.

I remember shaking my head when he said he was going into the business of sending satellites and supplies into space, something NASA needs a multi billion dollar budget to do, and not believing he was serious.

I wouldn't discount anything he says now. Why can't we find someone like that to run for president?

He was a household name here in the Buckeye State of course.

There's always my current senator and brother by another mother Sherrod Brown, but he doesn't seem motivated to leave congress. His wife, Plain Dealer columnist Connie Schultz would be a wonderful 1st lady.

I don't mind though, we'll keep him.

Is it weird that I kinda wanted it to be aliens here to free us from this garbage fire of a year? (Cool stuff, though @SpaceX) https://t.co/Z2SOg4vzyv

I saw one like that, actually several while living in SoCal, buy this particular evening I happened to be on the 405 heading north in a semi truck... all the cars started trying to stop or pull over to watch, it was hard to just stop in my rig. All the while I was wondering if it was incoming or what. Later I found via news that it was from Vandenburg. The last place I ever want to be when something big happens is on a freeway in LA driving a semi.
