I keep looking for someone like him (or a her) that is a straight-shooter.

He fits the bill .

Forget what his parents are though.

.would be Schwartzeneger...The Repugs would have loved to have run him for Prez...We dodged a bullet with him.

I really like him. I want someone who has a less-politician feel (though certainly someone with political experience!).

I still cannot get over the fact that the bar has shifted so far to the right over the last two decades, with not much help from the Dem establishment, that Republicans OBVIOUSLY appoint fellow Republicans, and Democrats, when in a position to appoint, ALSO appoint Republicans in their never-ending quest for Fox News to like them.

It worked to some extent in getting at least moderate Republicans in charge, as opposed to the nutjobs Trump appoints. But what it did was move the goalposts. Now simply being a Republican, even if being also a war hero, does not necessarily cut it. Anyone that puts country ahead of party now is the enemy in the modern GOP.
