Lieu: I trust Republicans at FBI and GOP should too

Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu (Calif.) continued his assault on Republicans who have publicly questioned the integrity of top officials at the Justice Department and the FBI on Saturday, urging Republicans to trust agents who Lieu says clearly hold conservative views.

Lieu argued on Twitter that the leadership at the FBI has Republican credentials.

"I trust these 3 Republicans," Lieu said, naming FBI Director Christopher Wray, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and special counsel Robert Mueller. "The GOP should too."

"#Mueller investigation led by 3 officials," Lieu tweeted. "Deputy AG Rosenstein, a Republican appointed twice by GOP Presidents, Mueller, a Republican & Bronze Star recipient, [and] FBI Director Wray, a Republican who donated $39k to GOP candidates."
