Start early and be loud. Love what I am seeing.

Seeing multiple threads of late of Dem candidates for the House and Senate running in 2018.

Name recognition goes a long way to help in a candidate. Esp for lower level local races.

The more we tout great qualities in our candidates the better our chances are.

Can’t run just against something. It’s time to stand for something. And that something is America itself.

I think we need to focus more on getting "our own" out to vote instead of converting repubs. nt earthshine Dec 2017 #6

Not against the rich, but FOR the middle class.
Not against tax cuts, but tax cuts for the lower 90%.
Not against military, but military for defense only.
Not against oil, but for green energy as partner.

So many possibilities for a winning agenda!

...don't spend as much of your time lecturing your fellow Dems on the need to "be realistic" about making progress toward their goals as you spend attacking Republicanism.

And eschewing party purity in the process.

Lest we become that which we despise.

Republicans have bequeathed us with something they've always tried to highjack: American values and defending the Constitution.

The disgusting display we watched after the tax bill was passed, the obsequious bowing and scraping should be played repeatedly because Republicans have become nothing more than fawning courtiers to their Mad King.

So, of course, we should vigorously support our candidates, sing their strengths and particular qualities for the spots they're running for and put in everything we have to ensure voter turnout.

But . . . we should not let anyone forget what these treacherous politicians have done--sell the country out to The Apprentice Despot and his money-grubbing henchmen.

Never forget. Never forgive.

Then take them all to the woodshed in 2018.

And building a positive environment and generating interest in the candidates as people and leaders and building positive name recognition goes a long way.

And at the party level, controlling the framing of issues.
