They don't generally back down. And in the isolated cases where they do, they don't do it 'easily'.

The story of 2011 is that liberals and progressives are fighting back, finally. That I agree with.

But don't confuse what we want to see happen with what is truly happening.

It's still a long fight ahead of us.

Have you heard of the tactics the GOP use to push through their agendas? Are you in Wisconsin where we are being bombarded with attack ads and local news stories of the 'thugs' involved in the recall? Are you privy to the MILLIONS of dollars being funneled into campaigns to fight our grass roots movements to stand our ground?

I wish it were weak, but don't think it is. We have to stand up AND be fully prepared to fight hard like it matters. Because it does.

And as soon as the conservatives took their stand, the progressives and liberals came out with guns blazing...

And they have not let up since...

I do not think the right was ready for the response from the left.

I've seen it and have stood up to it everyday for about a year now here in Wisconsin. The GOP is spending millions on attack ads and anti-union propaganda. The GOP is pushing through legislation without quorum or debate. The GOP is using the courts and media to accuse recall volunteers of abuse and fraud. The GOP is suing the GAB to get the taxpayers to foot the bill for doing the job of reviewing signatures on recall petitions.

It's the GOP, comprised of conservatives, and they are not backing down. Nor are they stopping us. My point in all of this is... we ARE standing up and fighting, but they are not scurrying and never ever think they will. They will fight every step of the way and we have to be up to the task.

The problem is, is that the Left almost never puts up a fight. Sure, conservatives toss and turn, grovel and howl, but when faced with facts they run away back to their cave and curl up to Glenn Beckkk re-runs.

EDIT: Which means I'm advocating FOR the continued fight and pressure on the neanderthals.

Bullies are scared and run away when confronted with someone who shows any strength of mind.

They show their true colors then...

They fight back by making up lies, they file suit in court on baseless claims that we're up to no good, they bring in MILLIONS to spread their disinformation.

They don't scurry. And we need to be fully prepared to stand up AND fight. For America.

They at the very least are stunned that liberals will stand up and fight and they also get an idea of what real grass roots anger is really all about.

Obviously Ron Paul can't run again for President, so he's pulling out all the stops on this campaign.

Mitt is ahead in Iowa now, but we still have 2 days to go.

I don't think Bachmann will hang in for very long after Iowa.
It just doesn't look like she is getting any more free money, or gaining any new supporters, or hiring any loyal campaign workers, or has any friends, or met any new people who like her, or met any new people who think she is cute, or ran into any new people who think she is honest.
