The White House believes a strong close to 2017, capped by the passage of a $1.5 trillion tax bill, has put President Trump in a positive position as he enters his second year in office.
The sweeping tax package helped erase the sting of the GOPs failure to repeal ObamaCare and let Trump and his congressional allies put their very public differences aside in a year-end celebration at the White House.
Trump's team argues that the tax bill, which also ended the mandate for individuals to buy insurance under the Affordable Care Act and opened the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling, put a bow on a positive and meaningful first year for Trump.
At the end of the year, you see the president achieving things and getting results, said a White House official. We had, basically, a hat trick of accomplishments coming in all at once in the tax bill.
Trump is adding those achievements to the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and a dozen other judges to federal courts and the rollback of Obama-era rules and regulations.

passing a bill that everyone hates is a FAILURE and spectacular one at that, by any reasonable metric. the tax scam is only bolstering what was already looknig like a massive blue wave in 2018. oh, and robert mueller says hello

it's interesting in its way, but i guess i just don't find it funny like i did 6 months ago, maybe because they've actually made a lot of "progress" on their agenda of looting the treasury and stacking the courts. when they were just incompetent bunglers, i found it amusing. now it's like they've remembered that you don't really need to be very competent to wreck shit up in big ways which was their plan all along. changes are coming, big changes, changes i guaranfuckingtee we will not like, changes that will take decades of consistent progress to recover from.
if you find it funny, by all means "laugh it up fuzzball"
wish i could join you in your mirth but instead all i can do is
