Trump paid Treasury Dept $477,000 fine for money laundering

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/22/politics/trump-taj-mahal/index.html

<snip>
(CNN)The Trump Taj Mahal casino broke anti-money laundering rules 106 times in its first year and a half of operation in the early 1990s, according to the IRS in a 1998 settlement agreement.

It's a bit of forgotten history that's buried in federal records held by an investigative unit of the Treasury Department, records that congressional committees investigating Trump's ties to Russia have obtained access to, CNN has learned.
The casino repeatedly failed to properly report gamblers who cashed out $10,000 or more in a single day, the government said.

Trump's casino ended up paying the Treasury Department a $477,000 fine in 1998 without admitting any liability under the Bank Secrecy Act.

I can't wait for that day. Is it in Russian banks? The Caymans? Switzerland? Panama? Where is Trump's secret offshore hoard?

That's about as much credit I can give to him on his hoarding skills.

3. Trump never stopped money laundering. It is the prime source of his wealth and his family.

Trump and family and friends did think themselves clever enough to have perfected it.

Once again history will repeat itself. After the pride comes the fall. Again.

Who gets a thrill when hearing about real facts presented as accounting details.

I think a WHOOSH of funds leaving the US into Cyprus and a TRICKLE of funds dribbling into the dump's organizations. Sound effect, pretty bozos presenting. Manufactured outrage. Paid-for protestors. Hell, paid-for congresscritters.

Maybe the biggest thrill will be when we watch the perps being marched out of the WH, the Capital, the lobbying firms, their homes. I hope the Fux cameras are ready - the other networks will be.

Horrible behavior on the part of the corpseorate media. Covering up dump's criminal thug history for ratings and to prop up the puke candidate. And hey, look what it got them--a massive tax cut.

Can you just imagine the nonstop coverage if it were Hillary, or any Dem candidate, with such a past? They would be branded into the 'Murican public's brain as a crook. As dump should have been.

This whole situation--with a criminal thug in the White House--never should have happened and is not normal.
