The daily desecration of the presidency is just intolerable. It is so painful to witness this desecration daily even hourly. Every news cycle is just plain torture to the mind and spirit. And it is also extremely enraging. You just want to pound the walls and scream.
Cannot even think about it being a happy new year in any way at this point. We still have three more years left in this horrible national disaster. Probably the worst mistake since the beginning of our country really. And it will take a generation to restore any semblance of a reputation.
We are so rogue right now. If he dies or gets sick I will celebrate.

(7,077 posts)Yet Im ending this year with a feeling of hope, because tens of millions of Americans have risen to the occasion. The U.S. may yet become another Turkey or Hungary a state that preserves the forms of democracy but has become an authoritarian regime in practice. But it wont happen as easily or as quickly as many of us had feared.
