There is still a marmalade cat called Jock living at Chartwell, to this day. The Churchill family made this request when they handed over the property to the National Trust in 1966.
They are currently on Jock VI.
The Old Man would be very happy about that.

(3,009 posts)Churchill was an unapologetic imperialist who opposed independence for India. He was no egalitarian. He also made a mess of the Dardanelles campaign in the First World War.
And yet, he was a great wartime leader. He also had perhaps the sharpest wit in history (though Mark Twain comes close) and had an astounding (if slanted) grasp of history.
Trump is a very simple man, when it comes down to it. And, by himself, I dont find him at all interesting.

One of those odd, interesting historical connections.
