or run a cash register at 7-Eleven

The fact that Republicans have wholeheartedly endorsed his moronic pathologically lying behavior is completely unacceptable.

Avaricious, mendacious cunning is NOT real intelligence. It's defensive, instinctive and destructive. And that's not smart.

He is reactionary. A product of the amphibian limbic system without mediation by higher layers of brain function.

However, given his lower brain functions, he does operate quite well - can almost mimic an intelligent human.

As most of us have found out, encountering someone with less capacity to discuss rationally, the normal response is a vituperative assault. I've seen this with elderly patients or those with other cognitive disabilities.

DT lacks moral intelligence

...There are numerous examples of intelligent and even brilliant people who were morally out of whack. Take Dr. Josef Mengele for example. He was a scientist and a scholar, a lover of poetry and classical music. He relaxed by playing works of Chopin and Schubert on the piano. He was wealthy, personally popular, and received multiple decorations for his military service. But he also ran the Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz where he was referred to as the Angel of Death. He performed sadistic medical experiments on the prisoners...

Stalin, Hitler and Mao were all incredibly intelligent people.

Intelligence can sometimes be sequestered by an endless need to provide rationalizations for one's immoral actions. It works very well, as we can see.

Trump is as far from wise as it is possible to get.

He knows how to play the media, but not how to make a good deal. His deal with Russia was good for his short-term but not medium or long term. He is going to be played by Putin when the latter decides it will create maximum disruption.

David Frum tweet:  ? "Regular reminder that Donald Trump’s core competency is not dealmaking with powerful counter-parties. It is duping gullible victims."

Our "representatives of the people" to vote their own special interests.

If we had a really democratic system where every vote counted these power-hoarders would not exist.

If we had a system where any representative could be removed instantly from power with a 60% vote, the lampreys would find something else to do (pest removal?).

Better, if we had a system where 75% of the voters could impeach and jail any malfeasant for a minimum of their elected term, the 'uglicans would look for used-car sales work.

I've also been in favor of a special presidential chair that would be wired to deliver a sufficient shock if 80% of the voters pressed the button. Of course no bills could be signed without sitting in that chair long enough to receive the effect.
(Not sure how this works with the russians in charge of our infrastructure....)
