General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsDonald J. Trump, how do I despise thee? Let me count the ways:
No, not your policies. Not your desire to kill the ACA, the Paris accord; your desire to limit entry of Muslims and of refugees, your populist opinions, your judges appointments, removing regulations and promoting tax code that benefits you.
No, it is your thin skin, your personalizing everything, your shooting from the hip via twitter. It is your will that no comment about you would go unchallenged. It is your claims that everything that you do is the greatest, largest, vastest in the history of the world. It is throwing blocks in the work of those who are actually loyal to you by saying the opposite of that they say.
It is your way of looking at meetings with heads of state as a popularity context, humiliating them with the danger of nuclear challenge.
It is your comments that everything is around you. NYT wants your reelections because it will help it sell more copies??
It is your claim that you know better than anyone else about... each and every topic. From health care to taxes to the Constitution. (You've heard of the Constitution, right?)
It is your vanity that drives you to assault women and expecting them to be grateful.
It is promoting your and your family business interests, being certain that no one would challenge you (so far, I admit, you've been right).
That everything is, as you declared during the Convention "I" "I" "I."
Is is your inability to leave Obama and Hillary alone. Especially Hillary. You won, what else do you want? You are so insecure that with everything that you do or say, you have to insert Obama to show that you are better. Which, of course, you are not.
Your invitation for cabinet members and the Republican members of Congress to take their turn in praising you.
And, last, your inability to every admit that you made a mistake, That you were wrong. To never apologize. For anything.
Well, I am sure others could add to this.

(13,526 posts)He asked Mr Trump if he could "look children aged five, eight, ten, in the face and tell them they can't go to school here".
Mr Trump did not hesitate and said he could, which brought applause from the crowd.
He said: "I can look in their faces and say 'You can't come'. I'll look them in the face.
And then theres this memorable day:
question everything
(47,537 posts)Shields and Brooks talked on PBS Newshour about how these days politics is identity, it is not just a different of opinion.
I will never understand how anyone could have voted for this vulgar grabbing man.
